Here is a weird one.

I'll bet you you are going to be stunned at this one because I certainly was when I read this story.

And the question is, is a 13-year-old girl old enough to agree to sex with an adult?

Now, the first thing we would all say is, are you crazy?

Of course not.

That's statutory rape.

But what's going on in France?

The parliament in France?

It's a question the Parliament is asking itself, because the government prepares to set a legal age for sexual consent for the first time. There is

no age for sexual consent. Theoretically, you can have a six-year-old consent to sex in France. And the reason

this came up is twice in recent weeks, French courts refused to prosecute grown men for

rape after they had sex with 11-year-olds because the authorities couldn't prove coercion.
