Good evening, everyone, and welcome to another episode of Radio Free Mormon.

This is episode number 434. It asks the trenchant question, is the LDS Church changing the Book

of Mormon in order to fool Africans and get them to join the church or keep them from leaving the church.

That is the question that we're asking today.

Is the LDS Church changing the Book of Mormon to fool Africans?

Now, I've got to add right now that this episode is going to go a different way than I had originally anticipated.

So you need to remember that this is just a question. It is not an assertion.

Originally, I had intended to ask that question and then go through the evidence to prove that indeed the LDS church was changing

the book of Mormon in order to fool African saints, specifically to change the language about

the black skin on the Lamanites being a sign of the curse from God, specifically in

2nd Nephi chapter 5, though it appears in various places in the book of Mormon.

This is something that I was going to show you, and then I researched it, and then I did more research, and I did a little more research, and I realized that this is not, repeat not, the case,

at least not according to the evidence that I have research. And I want to show that to you

together with the process I went through in order to arrive at this conclusion because the research

and the truth and the evidence is more important here at Radio Free Mormon than arriving at a

preordained conclusion. It's a rather interesting story. I hope you'll stick with me through it.

Now, this was the first slide that I had made. The reason I understood that this was an issue

is because I had seen it elsewhere on the internet, that there was a particular language,

a particular African language that had interpreted

2nd Nephi chapter 5 verse 21, that's the critical verse about the black skin being the curse or the
