0:05.0	It is October 14th, 2025. It's 1259, and the Mormon Church is about to announce a new prophet and a new first presidency.
0:19.7	And what we want to do is we want to go ahead and live stream it and allow y'all a chance
0:26.7	to comment on it, uh,
0:29.2	and we hope to provide some sort of commentary.
0:35.9	So, um,
0:39.0	yeah, for those of you who don't know while we're waiting for it to begin,
0:42.4	the Russell and Nelson recently passed away
0:45.9	as the president and prophet
0:48.6	of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
0:51.5	He was beloved by many.
0:53.1	He served for many years.
0:56.1	And as is customary, within a week or two or so of the passing of the prophet,
1:04.6	the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announces the new prophet president
1:10.2	and a new first presidency. I'm anticipating
1:13.5	that Iring will be kept in the first presidency and that Elder Bednar will be added as a new
1:21.8	member of the first presidency, but we'll see. And it's starting now. So what we want to do is welcome you all. And also,
1:31.3	I'm going to be sharing people's commentary. I'm Elder Gary E. Stevenson. And after the
1:37.8	announcement, we'll be sharing some reactions. And have been asked to conduct this afternoon's announcement.
1:47.0	We welcome you from the conference center in Salt Lake City, Utah on this memorable occasion
1:53.0	of the presentation of a new first presidency.
1:57.0	With the passing of our beloved prophet, Russell M. Nelson on September 27, 2025, the first presidency was dissolved.
