Welcome everyone to Long Ball Legacies, a show on the Pitcherless Podcast Network where we dive into the stories, myths, legends, and players who help shape the game of baseball throughout its history across the world, and the players who help make it the game we love and help make us love the game itself.

0:19.1

I'm your host, Daniel Port.

0:20.9

Thanks, everyone, for being here.

0:22.3

I'm really excited about this week's episode.

0:24.4

We're going to try something a little different than our usual episode,

0:29.1

with the season ending and the playoffs being over.

0:32.4

over two episodes, we'll see how we do on time here. We're going to go and start on the list, and we're going to look at each player and say,

1:12.9

has, after this season, their place on the list or in their legacy, has anything changed?

1:18.9

And either move them up or move them down based on what happened this season.

1:24.0

And update the list here, because I don't want to short change the current players

1:27.4

who have played fewer seasons, who have done less in the league just by because of time than some of the older his more historic players on the list.

1:36.3

That's what we're going to do today. I'm excited to do it. We've never done this before and I think it's a good way to kick off season three of Long Ball Legacies.
