where every week we take a look at the players throughout baseball history who have helped shape the worldwide story of baseball and the myths and legends that are born out of it and really tell the tale of the game that we love so much.

Thank you for joining us here today on this Friday. It's a beautiful day. Last week, if you recall,

I talked about the recently past Vita Blue and it was a fasting story of a young phenom and

an early peak followed by trouble with drugs and addiction

and things that derailed his career still ended up one of the greatest black pictures of all time

and so i was trying to think of who to talk about this week and while i didn't want to find

another story of a career derailed by the same things i thought thought to myself, what's a pitcher who had this incredible early peak and fell off?

And one of the first names that came to mind was Oral Hersheiser.

And so that's what we're going to talk about today.

I'm really excited to tell you his story.

And I feel like no matter what team we root for like every team has that beloved

past his prime veteran pitcher who came to the team after their heyday and left an impression

on that respective franchise forever regardless even if it wasn't the franchise they starred for,

even it wasn't the team they pitched their best for.
