Originally, we're going to talk about Bryce Harper today, and we're actually going to push that to next episode.

Today, we are going to talk about some really exciting news and a really exciting player.

So, this past week, the Veterans Committee voted on the current batch of eligible players

for the Hall of Fame that they get to decide on, and they unanimously voted Fred McGriff

into the Hall of Fame.

And this is really exciting news.

I feel pretty strongly that Fred McGriff deserves to be a Hall of Famer. I think he's well qualified. I think he has earned his way in there. And so it's exciting to see that vote go down. But with that, I figure what a better time to examine his career and take a look at whether or not we think he is Hall of Fame worthy, and let me at least pitch a reason

why I think he is, and then we'll rank him amongst our players and see how Fred McGriff

holds up amongst our little list here. To dive straight into things here, Fred McGriff, he's a really

fascinating player. First off, he had one of the best nicknames in all of baseball.

He was known as the Crime Dog.
