Here are some of today's headlines from the Los Angeles Times.

LAX took a big hit in the global rankings of busiest airports.

Colleen-Shalby reports L-AX dropped out of the top 10 busiest airports in the world,

falling to number 15 as domestic travel slows down and the airport continues to struggle

with its pandemic recovery. Passenger traffic was up 2% last year, but in February, the airport saw a 7% drop in overall

travel compared to last year.

LAX is still undergoing a $30 billion upgrade ahead of the 2028 Olympics, including a highly anticipated,

automated People Mover train slated to open in

2026. But for now, LAX numbers are on the downtrend.

President Trump has started releasing thousands of pages of classified files on the

1968 assassination of Senator Robert F. Kennedy.

Jenny Jarvey reports the documents could fuel new questions about one of the most shocking moments in U.S. history.

RFK was shot at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, where Sauron Saron was arrested at the scene and later convicted.

But RFK's son, Robert Kennedy Jr.,

believes someone else may have fired the fatal shots. The released files include Saran's written

notes about his plan to kill Kennedy. Still, experts say so far they haven't found anything new

that would change the case. This is just the first batch

of documents. Federal agents found an extra 50,000 pages during searches of CIA and FBI

warehouses. And more files could be released soon. With gold prices at a record high, jewelry

collectors are scrambling to melt down and cash in.
