Well, they got what they wanted.

The two 78-year-old former Republican presidents who appointed the majority of Republican Supreme

Court justices who overturned Roe versus Wade got what they wanted.

Sometimes when you get what you want, more things than you would anticipate come with it. It is possible that the people

who worked to elect George W Bush to the presidency a job for which his only

qualification was that his father once had that job, knew that

George W Bush said he wanted to ban abortion in America by overturning Roe versus Wade, but maybe they thought that would just never happen.

Maybe President George W Bush and the people working for him and supporting him

thought that when he appointed Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court

maybe he wasn't choosing a Republican Supreme Court justice who would overturn

Roe versus Wade, previous Republican support Supreme Court justices had refused to overturn Roe versus Wade.

George W Bush had even more reason to think it possible that John Roberts would not overturn

Roe versus Wade when he appointed John Roberts to be Chief Justice.

In fact, John Roberts voted to overturn Roe versus Wade and assigned the writing of the opinion
