As you probably

notice, we had an election this past week, one with potentially huge consequences for a lot of

the issues we work on here at lawfare. Our team has been hard at work analyzing the fallout,

but doing so has left us a little tight on time to record our usual weekly episode. So in lieu

for rational security this week, we thought

we would share the following conversation that several of us, including me, former Rational

Security co-host Ben Wittes, Alan Rosenstein, and Quinted Jurassic, and our frequent guest, Anna Bauer,

had before a live online audience this past Wednesday, when we sought to work through some of the

biggest potential implications of former President Donald Trump's impending return to the White House. Enjoy it for now and know that we will be back

So what we will see likely with Trump in the second term is in kind of Trump unchained,

who understands the levers of power, understands how to pull them, and who, again,

most importantly, I think, doesn't have, we're not going to have anyone around him who is going to do anything other than say yes and encourage him.
