0:49.1	I think most of the conversation around that has been a very political focus like Candace
0:55.3	Win the election for Trump and there's been a fair amount of stuff about looting and
1:01.5	vandalism and rioting in a couple of cities.
1:05.3	But I really wanted today to sort of like put that whole conversation, which is like very
1:10.1	partisan and very a little weird and meta aside.
1:14.7	And talk about something that I think is more concrete and real, which is that in most
1:20.5	American cities, to the best of our knowledge, there has been a large increase, very large
1:26.0	in some cases, increase in the number of people getting shot and accordingly a large increase
1:31.4	in the number of people being murdered.
1:34.8	And it's not in 100% obvious why that is, but it's a big striking trend.
1:43.6	We've had it here in DC where I live.
1:45.8	It's certainly present in New York where most of the media is, I don't know, I didn't
