Welcome to the skinny confidential, him and her. Today we're discussing

overstimulation. I wanted to do a bite-sized episode on feeling overstimulated because I think with all of the

lights and the phone and the computer and the television and the

news and the content, a lot of us are feeling overstimulated. And I wanted to tell you guys how I

self-regulate when I feel overstimulated. I really try to use the overstimulation as information.

So if I'm feeling like that, there's a good chance

that I am taking on too much and I need to take a step back and self-regulate. So I use it as like a

guide of where I need to go. Okay. So that's like the first thing that I do. So, okay, let's say I feel

stimulated on a Friday. I'll come home. I will put my phone

in the laundry room and turn it off immediately. That's the first step. I don't want to look at my phone.

I don't want to deal with it. It goes on airplane mode and gets turned off. I don't like to walk

into my home in front of my kids on my phone. I feel like it's dismissive.

And we can all remember a time where you've been out to dinner with someone and they pick up

their phone and they're talking to you as they're scrolling and they're not looking you in the

eyes and it doesn't feel good. And so I don't want to do that when it comes to my children. I want to walk
