0:24.5	Our guys today, we got a special guest on the podcast, her name is Lauren Davis.
0:27.8	She is running for Dallas County judge in Dallas, Texas.
0:31.3	This is not actually a judicial position, even though the name might suggest that.
0:34.4	This is essentially the position of the top executive of Dallas County.
0:37.8	So she's running against the incumbent Clay Jenkins.
0:40.2	And so I actually met her at the world premiere for Uncle Tom, too, down in Dallas, you
0:43.9	know, about a month and a half ago or something like that.
0:45.8	And it was very, very interesting to me, because as I met her, it's like, okay, she's
0:49.0	clearly just a real person, just a normal person, she's a mom, she's a business owner,
0:52.9	she's those types of things.
0:54.0	But then there were things that were happening in Dallas County, specifically because of Clay
0:57.5	Jenkins that she said, no, this is, this is not just unfortunate.
1:01.0	This is inappropriate.
1:02.0	I'm going to do something about it.
1:03.2	But she went farther than what a lot of people would normally do, because some people
1:06.3	would just, you know, scream online or, you know, complain to their friends or maybe put
1:09.9	a sign in their yard or maybe support some random candidate.
1:13.1	No, she decided to run for office to get this guy out of there.
1:16.4	So just a regular gal that, you know, is, you know, with a husband and three kids and helping
1:21.8	run a business and all those different things, and now she's actually running for office
