U.S. population, but they represent 24% of box office ticket sales and that same 24% of streaming subscribers.

U.S. Latinos see an average of 3.3 movies in theaters per year, compared to just 2.3 for

white Americans. Yet, and you can guess where this is going, Latinos or Latinx people will use

the term Latinos, they hold only 5% of the leading roles on screen.

Also, only 5% of behind the scenes jobs on movies.

Also, less than 5% of the executive roles in U.S. media companies.

That's been true forever.

And while the representation has gotten better in recent years, it's still really bad.
