And I actually recorded that first part two days early because I was feeling it that day and it's like I got to get this out of me I got to I sat down like 10 minutes later is like okay I should stop.

I got to stop but it was good to get out of this cathartic anyway we've got an action packed show for you today at the end of the program we will tell you who win which book won which book.

I am there's new polling numbers out and I know I know I am the first person to say polls don't matter polls don't matter and they don't matter.

The election if the election were held today everybody would be shocked because they're like oh my god I thought it was next year I thought it was in November what the hell is going on.

But if the election were held today that's the only thing that polling data does tell you is this is a snapshot a very quick snapshot of where the American people are at this moment and it can change wildly.

Remember we had president Hillary Diane Rotten Clinton Jr. the third back in 2016 there was nothing no one no one thought Donald Trump had anything to had a chance even forget the electoral college or states he wasn't going to win.

And so the electoral college never was even discussed and yet if anything happened on the way to the coronation of Hillary Clinton.

So take it for what it's worth I think polling is useful in a couple of ways if it's close to the election and people are paying attention and also to indicate trends directions which way things are going is somebody particularly looked at favorably are they getting more favorable coverage or are they getting less favorably thought of by the public that's kind of how I look at polling.

That being said what does it mean in the grand scheme of things Joe Biden was not particularly popular in fact he was wildly unpopular he was under water with his approval rating as he is now just wasn't as bad but he was under water with his approval rating in the 2022 midterms and Democrats still did okay they did a lot better than they should have.

A lot of that had to do with really crappy Republican candidates but they did do better than they otherwise should have a lot of it had to do with Democrats campaigning much better than Republicans also I think Lindsey Graham introducing that nationwide abortion ban was an unforced error can't argue for 50 years this is a row beats me overturn it should be up to the states it's not a federal issue it's horribly decided.

And then the second row is overturned you go yeah that whole thing about the states screw it let's ban abortion to nationwide let's put an abortion wait a second you just argued that it wasn't a federal issue now suddenly you want to make it a federal issue of course Lindsey Graham wasn't up for election last time and Lindsey Graham is just kind of a boob anyway honestly I was not going to make that joke anyway.

Now we've got new polling data which is interesting which is interesting because of where it has us now right now now is all there is the Washington Post ABC news pool.

This is a question is Joe there's a question about Joe Biden and Donald Trump is good enough Joe Biden is Joe Biden in good enough physical health to serve effectively as president only 33% of respondents said yes.

62% said no which we're kind of screwed because he is president right now I can you do the job now he's doing the job like I get it he sucks it's like in the middle of an air flight air flight in the middle of a flight you're like over the Atlantic ocean going to Europe for whatever reason you know what this pilot sucks you can't do this job you can't shoot a problem we brought something that's that's not right.

Just a cruise and they go wait a second this guy can't fly probably should have brought something up about this while you were sitting on the tarmac just say it.

Now for Donald Trump this is a good news 64% of the people say that he is in good enough physical health to serve effectively as president while 28% said no.

Now that's different look saying somebody can do the job and that you want them to have the job are two entirely different things not saying that to pour salt anybody's wound or rain on anybody's parade but I know how this will be portrayed by the former presidents by the former president forget his campaign by him.

Look they're saying I can do it I'm going to win no these there was I don't think there were that many people in 2020 who thought that Joe Biden was physically up to the job I was hiding in his basement so yeah maybe the numbers have changed a little bit but I think they did just of them is where they they are where they were then so it is not.
