The whole thing is freaking silly.

The Baltimore Ravens offered Lamar Jackson a deal that had $133 million in guaranteed money,

essentially it's signing, $175 million guaranteed for injury, and a springing guarantee

that would make it up to $200 million in guarantees.

The $175 million in guaranteed money, which is the real money, actually, was considerably

more than Kyler Murray got from Arizona or Russell Wilson got from Denver.

But Lamar Jackson has wanted a fully guaranteed contract.

Teams are aware of the offer that he got and what he is looking for in return.

They also know that they'd have to sign them to an offer sheet,

that the Ravens would have the opportunity to match,

and if they didn't match, they would have to give up two first-round picks.

So now you have to find a team that is a need-at-the-quarterback position,

has roughly $50 million in salary cap space this year and is willing to part

ways with two first-round draft picks in a decision that I'm sure an owner would have to weigh in on.

And we do know that owners do not want to give fully guaranteed contracts.

So there are a whole host of issues that make a deal challenging, but you're talking about

an elite talent and a great quarterback.

Somebody that would be in a spot like the Jets if they didn't get Aaron Rogers would be logical.

But right now, today, it's hard to see many teams knocking down his door to get a deal done.
