But what we don't know is what's going to happen with New England from now until June 1st.

New England could, for all we know, bring back Steph Diggs.

They could go sign some of these other wide receivers that are out there.

They could go draft a wide receiver.

And if any of those things happen, then that would probably take them out of the AJ Brown market.

New England, New England has been through a lot with the league

in recent years, you know, deflakeate other things. They're not going to bend the rules and

take chances and do handshake deals under the table. Like if AJ Brown works for them in June,

they'll make a move. If it doesn't, they're not going to do that. A.J. Brown, still with the wide receiver still with the Philadelphia Eagles. Patriots still interested. Feels like nothing's going to be able to happen between now and June 1st. So do you do this is how I sort of approach it at this point. Like I hear Schaefter talk about that. And part of me wants to say, okay, I get it. Like the cap hit gets minimized after June. And so that's probably when he's going to get dealt. There might be a deal under the table. I don't buy the whole cheating thing. That feels like some sort of ruse to me. Like someone said that, hey, you know, we've been attached to cheating scandal, so we can't do any sort of wink, wink, wink, nod, under the table, and it's bull crap because you're trying to deflect in some way for whatever the motive is to deflect. I think they're deflecting it. But let me ask you this question. If he doesn't end up a Patriot at this point, would you be disappointed? Yes. Like are you expecting it at this stage? Yeah. So am I. Yeah. McCarthy, you? Oh, totally. After June 1st, I think this thing is done. The only thing in the way is time is how it feels to me. So, I mean, outside of wearing the uniform and having the sound of him at the podium, you know, in Foxborough with Mike Vrable right next to him, I already consider him a patriot. So yes, I would be disappointed if this doesn't come to fruition.

I mean, that's how I feel like at this.

Now, look, I suppose there was always the possibility that what Shepter is saying has more than a little merit.

I'm not trying to say that I, you know, don't believe what he's reporting because I'm sure he heard it.

But in the same breath, I sort of look at it and say, if they get someone else comparable

or that I would deem to be a major upgrade to what they have, then fine.

It doesn't have to be A.J. Brown.
