Everything's fine, a novel written by Cecilia Rebes is not only sharp and timely, but incredibly

funny, a love story, and the kind of book that you don't want to put down. I can attest to this,

having read the entire book over the course of a weekend. We're joined by Cecilia today to talk

about the article she read that partially inspired the story, when and where she found time to write

her debut novel, and how much of her own personal experiences actually ended up in the book.

Hi everyone, we are joined today by author Cecilia Rebes, who's new novel Everything's Fine,

was published this month. Thank you for being here. Thank you so much for having me.

You are of course now a published author, but I read you're also a data scientist, so although I

want to talk about this novel, I did want to ask what that all means. Yeah, so that's a fun question.

I grew up loving to read and loving to write, but didn't necessarily see that as a real career path.

It was always also interested in math and statistics, sort of been probably because I feel like

people sometimes pit like the liberal arts against the sciences. But yeah, so then ended up pursuing

a career in business and finance and ultimately data science, but still always kind of felt
