The intense debate about the ground rules for the Senate impeachment trial went on for

hours and did not end until early this morning, as in starting yesterday afternoon

and lasting until about 2 a.m. today, and this was just the first step to set the rules. So here are a few

of the main takeaways. First, we now know each side will have 24 hours total

spread out over three days to make their opening arguments.
