Absolutely.

Guys, as we're recording right now, we're standing on the precipice of the release of the

most highly anticipated book of the year, 107 days by Kamala Harris.

All about her journey as a presidential candidate in those crucial 170 days or 107 days before

she unfortunately lost and put us in the fucking torment nexus that we're in right now

But we bring this up because we bring this up as a sort of prelude

To the episode we will be releasing next week on Monday for our patrons on Wednesday for everybody else where we will be doing a full book review

We are dedicating an entire episode in this fucking maelstrom of news. No fucking news. To reviewing this book. And, you know, whether it's a 20 minute episode or a three-hour episode, either way, it will tell you about the book. It's going to tell you all you need to know about the book. Your one-stop shop for every good piece of information you can get out of that without reading it

yourself. Yeah. And I think it's especially important because the autopsy sort of hasn't ended

for the Democrats in 2024. We're still sort of debating why the Democrats lost. If not directly,

then just in the sense of like people are talking about how they should move forward by doing

the exact same things that we've already done. Yeah. I want to say there's a whole new industry that's been born just out of figuring out where the Democrats need to go. But it's kind of always been here and it's the consultant class just trying to rebrand themselves. And we got a bit more on that later on in this episode. But I want to start off today, again, with a prelude of Kamala Harris's 170 days. Oh, 107 days. God, I keep saying 70. I don't even know. I'm not even a true fan. It's messed up. A prelude for our book review of Kamala Harris' 107 days because there's an excerpt released by the Atlantic where Kamala Harris is talking about the process of her selecting a vice presidential candidate for herself.

And I think there's some interesting stuff in here that sort of reveals a little bit about how they thought about this race, or at least how she thought about it.

Take a little look behind the curtain.

So from the Atlantic, she was considering Pete Buttigieg.

And about Pete Buttigieg, it says, quote, Buttigieg would have been an ideal partner if I were a straight white man. Harris writes in a passage of her soon to be released book, 107 days that I saw. But we were already asking a lot of America to accept a woman, a black woman, a black woman married to a Jewish man. Part of me wanted to say, screw it, let's just do this. But knowing what was at stake, it was too big of a risk. And I think P also knew that to our mutual sadness. And now, to an extent, like, this is true, right? Yeah. It is unfortunate, but there's a lot of bigotry in America, and a lot of people hold bigotry against black people, black women especially,

and they hold bigotry against a gay man if he were on a ballot. And it makes it harder,

makes it a sort of uphill battle for people from these marginalized groups to get elected because

of all the stereotypes and stigma. But what this passage tells me is that they didn't, they still

do not understand how badly they squandered

somebody like Tim Walls. Yes. And they, and that to me speaks to the fact that they don't
