Stop, where I detail crimes that happened on public transportation. One of the things that I

try to do on this podcast is to, when possible, give you some insight behind the crime, why some

crimes happen, how they unfolded, and what is behind the decisions some make to commit a crime.

This week, I think you will find that there is a whole host of reasons as to why things

unfolded the way they did on June 12, 2000 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

In this case, I think you may agree that several factors were at play and contributed to the tragedy that occurred that day.

Some of these factors include, of course, the perpetrator,

but also the police, the local government,

and perhaps the community and the media as well.
