0:20.0	Hi everyone, welcome back to National Park after Dark We Are On Our Part 2 of our last episode.
0:26.0	And as promised, Cassie's telling it to me the very next day.
0:29.0	So it's so fresh on my mind, but I'm sure you have a recap for everyone, right?
0:34.0	I do, especially since it's been a week for everybody else.
0:37.0	I know we left off in a very precarious situation with the polar bear.
0:41.0	We did.
0:42.0	But I'll do a quick recap of the whole episode just really quick.
0:46.0	But if you have not listened to part one yet, go back, listen to part one,
0:52.0	because it's really important, but I'll give a little brief overview.
0:55.0	So Ada, who has been a big character in the episode, it started out with her husband left her
1:03.0	and her son who had tuberculosis abandoned in Beringland Bridge National preserve.
1:08.0	And they had no money and they had very little food.
1:11.0	So she walked 40 miles back to Nome, Alaska to find work.
1:15.0	She had worked as a seamstress in a house made, but it wasn't making enough money for her to care for her son Bennett.
1:21.0	And she eventually had to put him into an orphanage.
1:24.0	Stephenson, an explorer, had put together a crew to lead an expedition to Wrangle Island
1:30.0	with the intention of colonizing it.
1:32.0	He gathered Fred, Alan, Lauren, and Robert to go on this expedition and they arrived in Nome
1:38.0	and they advertised for a job for Inuit peoples to join them.
1:42.0	And when it came to the day to leave, Ada Blackjack was the only Inuit person who showed up.
1:48.0	Reluctantly, she did join the expedition as a seamstress in a cook for the crew, but when she arrived to Wrangle Island, she struggled a lot.
