So I got one week under the belt in here in now beautiful Maine. The heat wave is over.

It was actually almost chilly this morning, which was truly glorious.

I can't tell you how off my feet I was with that heat wave here because the air conditioning at this house

is just not adequate to my needs when it's crazy hot. And I don't function well in crazy hot,

which is why I could never live anyplace tropical. I can visit someplace tropical and I could

stay someplace luxurious for a little while someplace tropical. But as I often say, I am

descended from a desert people, but we like a dry heat. And I'm just not up to

just constant schwitzing. So I was also here alone for several days because my wife,

the Vergesica took my sister-in-law, my daughter, and my nieces and nephews or some of them. I

got a lot of nieces and nephews and took them up to Bar Harbor for an adventure for a few days.

And so I was without a car with these dogs. And we were all going a little stir crazy. It was very,

very funny. I'm not sure I could convey it. I'm not funny it was, but like the first morning

after they were gone, these dogs are used to going on morning adventures in the car with me.

And they're all excited and they're jumping up and down. It's like a quarter to six in the morning

and they're full of this twirling, twirling, always twirling energy. And Zoe's are ruining at me.

Hurry up, let's go. We gotta go. They're things to do. And then I opened the front door of this

house we're staying in and she runs out and runs right to where she expects to get in the car.

And then she's like, wait a second. There's no car. What the, and then just a string of

expletives, you know, translated from doggy ran out of her. She was pissed and she just was like

looking at me, looking at the air where the car was supposed to be and it's like, what are we

gonna do about this? Because they get bored walking around just here. Particularly because I have to
