All right, good morning and welcome to our second service. On Sunday mornings, we have two services,

the first of which is our weekly Bible prophecy update, and then second service. We're going through the Bible,

book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse. And today, we are, Lord willing, going to finish

our study, our verse by verse study through 2 Timothy. And our

text is going to be chapter 4 beginning in verse 9 and through to the end of the chapter in

verse 22. So we'll invite you at this time to turn there if you're not there already. And for those of

you that are here, if you're able, I'll ask

you to stand if not where you're seated is fine. But you can follow along as I read. Beginning

in verse 9, the Apostle Paul, by the Holy Spirit, writing to Timothy says, do your best to come to me quickly. For Demus, because he loved

this world, has deserted me and has gone to Thessalonica. Crescians has gone to Galatia and

Titus to Dalmatia. Only Lucas with me. Get Mark and bring him

with you because he is helpful to me in my ministry. I sent Tychas to Ephesus.

When you come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas and my scrolls, especially

the parchments."

Pardon me, verse 14. Alexander, the metal worker, did me a great deal of harm.

The Lord will repay him for what he has done.

You too should be on your guard against him because he strongly opposed our message.

At my first defense, speaking of his trial, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted

me. May it not be held against them. But the Lord, verse 17, stood at my side and gave me strength,

so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it.

And I was delivered from the lion's mouth. The Lord, verse 18,

will rescue me from every evil attack, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom.
