This first laser story is out of Los Angeles.

A 50-year-old plumber was working on a home in the area last Saturday when he ducked into a crawl space under the house.

I hope he had worked down there. He wasn't just visiting for fun.

The homeowners didn't hear from him for about three hours and got worried.

They shouted for the guy, but there was no answer. They called 911.

The firefighter showed up and began searching around the crawl space, and they spotted a portion of his body, but he was unresponsive.

They began cutting holes in the floor with chain saws.
