Before I begin this new season, I would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who has bought me a taco. With your generosity I was able

to get a new microphone for recording. I have also been able to cover my hosting fees for the

podcast and my website.

This season we will explore celebrations in the Spanish-speaking world.

That certainly is the case in Spanish-speaking countries

where it is said that every day there is a celebration somewhere.

These celebrations are usually colorful and full of the sights, sounds, and smells of the local culture.

Some celebrations exist in many countries,

while others are localized to specific regions.

I hope you enjoy learning about these celebrations with me, starting with an overview of

The culture is Spain is vibrant. The nation's
