And I've been saying it, and I will say it today, because today is the day.

Today is the 80th anniversary of the death of Dietrich Bonhoffer.

I have spoken for hundreds of hours on the subject

of Dietrich Bonhofer. He is one of the great heroes of the Christian faith. It is because of his

life, in part, that I came to faith way back in 1988. When I heard his story, I thought, wow, that's the kind of Christian faith I could be interested in.

A man who lives out his faith heroically, I'd never heard about him.

Thanks to my dear friend Ed Tuttle, I heard about him, never dreaming that I would be involved

in promoting his legacy and writing a big biography about him.

That book came out 15 years ago today.

Amazing to me. And that was the 65th anniversary of his death. And of course,
