live always honored to get to spend this time with you in fact i look forward to bringing you

conversations every single day that hopefully inspire you in your faith walk that deep in your

understanding of god's word and that heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your

life. Well, our American culture has shifted drastically over the years when she say, many compare

our society to modern day Babylon. And my friend and I were talking about that idea recently,

and she said, you know, when Joshua led the Israelites to conquer the promised land, they had sort of a

conquering mindset. But for believers living in

Babylon, they needed a different approach, a different strategy, one of humility, one of wisdom,

of, you know, kindness of discernment. It seems we probably need a different approach, a different

strategy if we want to win this culture for Jesus. So about six years ago, and my show was actually named

Live the Promise, Dr. Larry Osborne released a book titled Thriving in Babylon, Why Hope, Humility, and Wisdom

Matter in a Godless Culture. This book released six years ago, and I had him on several times. I was so

intrigued by the book. Well, I told him, and I told his publisher, you need to re-launch this book right now

in the atmosphere because I felt like it was a prophetic message back then, and it's even

more so now. So some of the things we're going to talk about today are why panic and despair

are never from God. What true optimism looks like, how humility disarms even our greatest

enemies. Why respect causes those who will have

nothing to do with God to listen and how wisdom can snatch victory out of the jaws of defeat.
