He signs his deal. We'll talk about what he brings as a player. I'll talk about how he fits on the roster because I think that's kind of interesting too. And so we'll get into all that kind of stuff. Let's start here with the details. Sergio De La Rea was the Dallas Mavericks pick that they traded up for and they had the 30th pick and then they

decided to trade up. They ended up in a backwards way getting the Knicks pick. The Knicks thought

they got Sergio De La Rea. They even, we even had them record a reaction to the pick on like the

on draft night. And so there's somewhere, there's a locked on Knicks draft reaction to getting

Sergio De La Rea. So shout out to Gavin Shaw for doing that and then having to completely

destroy it as soon as that trade happened because it happened at the end of the night for

the Mavericks. He signs a four-year $16 million rookie deal to come over to play this season.

This was a question

that we had for, you know, the whole time from when he got drafted to, to when he finally signed it. There was a rumor that he was coming over. There was a rumor that he was going to sign a four-year deal that was with a, like, a, you know, a European publication that I didn't know about it. I didn't know if it had credibility or not.

coming over. He's going to play for the Dallas Mavericks' season. And playing for the Dallas

Mavericks' season, I think that he is the future of what the guard position is going to look

like for the Mavericks. You look at what he can do, his passing, his shooting, positional size. He's 6-6 with a 6-9 wingspan. He is a smart player. He moves the ball around a lot. He doesn't need the ball in his hands all the time. I think that's the future of the guard position for the Mavericks. I think that's the kind of players that the Mavs are going to target. The kind of players the Mavs are going to want to put around Cooper flag. Because in the NBA, this is, this was my thing with the Darius A-Cuffs, with the Kingston Fleming's, with the guys like that, and I'm sure they're going to put up good numbers in Summer League and you're going to see some good stuff from them and go, the Mavs should have traded up and gotten one of those guys. Okay, sure.

But if those guys aren't all-star level and they have the ball in their hands, the majority of the time, what is your team going to do? How good is your team going to be if a Darius Aikoff isn't an all-star level player for the Kings on a couple years. Right? And he has to have the ball on his hands a lot. Now, he can do stuff off the ball. So can Kings and Fleming. These guys are great players, obviously. But if those two guys aren't, you know, those two guys have the ball in their hands a lot. And if they have the ball in their hands a lot, I'm just not sure at what level you can get to if those guys aren't all-star level players.

Now, Sergio Delerea doesn't need to be an all-star level player.
