Tonight we're joined by founder and CEO of XXXY Athletics.

Jennifer Say, Jennifer, welcome to the show.

I feel like we could be here a while because I have a lot to say about this topic,

about athletics, about women and athletics, et cetera.

Tell me about your background.

Tell me about X, X, X, X, X, Y, why you founded it. You, I think,

just celebrated your one year anniversary. That's right. Yeah, we just hit one year. So we're a

baby startup brand, but it's going incredibly well, both in terms of the financial performance,

but the impact we're having. And both are really important to me. Let me be clear, both are

important. But yeah, I have a background as an elite gymnast. I was a seven-time national team member a long time ago in the 1986 national champion. I was the first gymnast to speak out about abuse in the sport in 2008, 10 years before Larry Nasser went to prison. It was not a popular thing for me to say these things at the time.

Often when you go first, that's a tough position to be in.

My own teammates, my own teammates, coaches, USA Gymnastics, US Olympic Committee,

all came for me to call me a liar and a gripper.

But of course, 10 years later, I was proven right. But, you know, for all the trauma I endured in the sport, I love women's sports.

And I am so grateful that I had the opportunity as someone who started in sports just two years

after Title IX passed. I know that I would not have had the opportunities that gymnastics provided me if I had

started, you know, in the 60s. There just weren't the same opportunities for girls and women.

So I'm a huge proponent. I just want safe training environments. Girls deserve to train free from

abuse. They deserve to compete without men in their category.
