and one of the most influential figures in the history of mixed

martial arts, Royce Gracie.

I know you're all over the place.

You're very busy.

You still have a lot of stuff going on in this field.

But you competed in the first ever UFC tournament all the way

back in 1993. You were the smallest competitor in the competition, and yet you won the whole thing.

Just give me that moment. Take me back there. And how is it that as the smallest competitor you

were able to dominate?

Sometimes I keep thinking, what was my family thinking about it when they put me in?

I never had a fight in my life.

My father didn't teach us how to fight.

He taught us how to teach martial art, how to teach the art of Jiu Jitsu.

And Jiu Jiu Jitsu is an art of self-defense. So he told me, do not hit your opponents,

do not hurt your opponents, but do not lose. If you don't lose, the question is how you're going to win?
