Libby and Alexis, welcome, ladies.

You know, there's been a lot made of Donald Trump and tariffs.

A lot of people getting hysterical about it.

Here's the thing that I don't think a lot of people realize, Libby, when it comes to tariffs and what the

American people are having to pay to import goods into our country, Donald Trump feels very strongly

that things should be fair and reciprocal. And I don't think a lot of people understood that we are

actually paying a lot of money for a lot of goods coming into

this country. And all Donald Trump is saying is, okay, if we are going to be paying this much

money to another country, then they should pay us the same amount. He signed a memorandum on

Thursday directing the assessment of fair and reciprocal trade tariffs on all major U.S. trading

partners. the memo task

commerce secretary Howard Lutnik and global trade representative Jameson Greer with evaluating

the need for remedies to ensure balanced trade for this administration.

So I think, Libby, this is probably ultimately a good thing for this country, but a lot of people

are very nervous about the word tariff, which Donald Trump says is one of the most beautiful words

in the English language.

Yeah, I thought that that was interesting as well.

And he, of course, has been talking about tariffs since winning the election.
