for joining us. I'm inspired already, but tell our viewers a little bit about yourself.

Well, Laura, thank you so much for having me here. And I'm so excited

to share sort of what my journey is all about. And I've had some challenges in life, as we all do.

And just this story is about overcoming adversity. And some of those are medical challenges,

as well as education, and just persevering and pushing through those are medical challenges as well as education and just persevering and pushing

through those and having fun along the way and being surrounded by amazing people too.

Well, that's all good stuff.

Now, I read that you spent over 250 days in the hospital even before you were three years old and you had 16 major

surgeries before age 16. Tell me about that. And now on the other side of it, all the

amazing things you're doing, summoning Mount Kilimanjaro, racing through the Grand Canyon,

competing in Rocky Mountain biking events. Tell us all about that.

Yes. So my journey in life starts at birth. I was born with a rare birth defect called Vectoral

Syndrome, and it's a birth defect that affects your GI system. So from my esophagus all the way down, we're compromised.

And so as the journey of life continued, I would have surgeries after surgeries.

And at birth, they had to fix a lot of them right away from the esophagus and lower GI as well.
