I am your host, Megan Schuster, and we are here today to go through some recent news and notes to dig into the driver's championship fight and decide whether Max or Sapan is actually in this race and to preview the last seven races of the 2025 F1 season. Joining me to do all of that is Spaners. Spaners, can you believe we're this close to the end of the season? I'm not ready. I'm not ready for the long cold winter without Formula One. I can't believe we only have seven races left. That's so weird because I don't feel like it's near the end of the season at all.

There's seven full Grand Prix left, three of which are sprint weekends.

So in the old and olden days, this is kind of the halfway point.

You know, generally you'd have a 16 race season.

So yeah, we're talking about a race that has got 30 starts off the line and we've still got nine of them left. And the championship is up in the air. I genuinely think one of three drivers could still win. So no, it's not feeling, I haven't got an end of term feeling at the moment. It's not like the last day of school where they say,

oh, you can bring in games and you go, oh, brilliant. I'm going to bring in screwball, scramble. And go, oh, no, I've lost the little metal balls for it. Oh, fine. I'll play Connect for with Billy, but Billy cheats. Billy does cheat. Forget Billy. We are going to dive fully into the driver's championship fight. We've got a lot of recent quotes from the likes of McLaren team principles and others around F1 about whether Max for Sabin actually has a chance in this. But before we get into that, just want to cover some news and notes because there's been a lot of odds and ends going around the F1 world lately. Let's start with this Landon Norris British Vogue article. It is entitled,

quote, I want to enjoy every minute that I can for F1 hardthrob Lando Norris, success arrived at

full speed. This is written by Kate Lloyd. We have both read this article. I'm sure we both have

our own overall impressions. I think perhaps the

most shocking thing in there to me was that we had quotes from Paris Hilton and not just one, but like

multiple Paris Hilton quotes, which, you know, if we really want insight into a full F1 driver,

I guess Paris Hilton is now the person to go to. My second overall impression was that this was maybe not the best timing for this kind of a story to drop when he is in a heated driver's championship fight and is instead talking about, oh, I prefer to live my life and F1 is not all that consumes me, which I will say is probably a much healthier attitude than many of the other drivers on the grid have. I have opinions. Yeah, so they said, like, do you want to win the championship? And he's gone, I'm above it. I'm above it, though. Like, I'm above it. It's just an F1 championship, though. Yeah, I think also, like, the fact that he was kind of, like, losing ground in the championship race at the time this dropped was like maybe not the most idyllic thing.

My last one was that he was watching the summer I Turn Pretty, which Spanters, I don't know if that is a show that you're familiar with as you have a daughter.

I would think maybe she has watched it or is interested in it. But I was curious for your thoughts if you have seen that show or not. I have not seen that show. I do have a 13-year-old daughter, but I do try to keep a healthy distance from her, if I'm honest. I don't know if you've ever had a teenage daughter, but it is frightening. I haven't. I prefer to have a happy life and parenting my

teenage daughter is just like a secondary on the side thing. That's like my Lando Norris World

Championship. Well, after this, I would appreciate if you would go ask her if she has seen it and

her thoughts on Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah, and you can report that back to me offline, but

that was sort of

what I was curious of where Lando Norris netted out on all of that. But what were your overall

impressions from this? I have some quotes that I can read to you that I felt like were notable,

but just generally what I guess were your impressions? Yeah, I'm not happy, and I've made comments
