Summary

Tom Clarkson is joined by Pedro de la Rosa and Argentine journalist Juan Fossaroli in the F1 paddock to discuss why Max Verstappen won the Spanish Grand Prix, despite Lando Norris having what he and Max agreed was the ‘best car’ in Barcelona.

How crucial was the race start? Did Verstappen’s early overtake of George Russell make the difference? What impact did strategy and tyres have? You’ll hear what both Max and Lando think was the biggest factor in the outcome of their brilliant battle.

Also on the F1 Nation agenda: how did Russell not win after sensationally taking the lead into Turn 1? What changed for Lewis Hamilton to have his best weekend of 2024? Will he be concerned by Ferrari’s dip in form? And what can we expect from the next two races of this triple header in Austria and Silverstone?

Plus, Chloe Chambers tells Tom how she claimed a dominant first victory in round 3 of F1 Academy.

"How could we have been so dumb?!"
Mercedes Technical Director James Allison shares fascinating insight into how the team have put themselves back in contention on F1 Beyond The Grid.
