Well, hey, good morning, Church.

If I have not met you yet, my name is Jason Swords,

and I serve as one of your lay elders and the chairman of our board.

I'm going to be reading a scripture today from 1st Peter 5 6 through 8.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God,

so that at the proper time he may exalt you,

casting all your anxieties on him because he cares for you.

Be sober-minded, be watchful,

your adversary, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion,

seeking someone to devour.

This is the Word of the Lord.

In Revelation chapter 14, the first five verses

are this picture of the Church of Jesus across time and space

worshipping before the throne of God.

And then the scene shifts from that to three angels

that are sent out from heaven and they hover between the space of heaven and earth

and they proclaim the gospel, that what's being communicated in that chapter

is that the Church of Jesus Christ has supernatural help when it comes to the good,
