Welcome back, everybody, to the Football Guys Daily Update. You give us 10 minutes. We'll give you everything you need to know to make you the most informed fantasy football player in your league. I'm Mike Dempsey alone with football guys own Bob Harris. Okay, Bob digging into the rest of week eight, either adding to someone else's hole or digging out of our own or filling in our own, whatever the case. We start with Baltimore. Lamar Jackson gets in another limited practice. What is the word from the locals on whether or not they expect him to suit up this week? I would say the tone of the reporting after yesterday's session was more positive or at least more optimistic than Wednesdays. I watched a couple very limited clips available from practice, mostly Jackson jogging out of the field He was moving fine. Teammates were clearly pumped to have him out there and said as much after practice. Offensive coordinator, Todd Monkin, said Jackson looked really good and took a step forward. But he also said when he was asked, like, well, what about his availability? Monkins said that if Lamar Jackson says he feels good and he's ready to go, that will be enough for that. I started Jackson out at the bottom of my rankings on Wednesday. I moved him up into range with a consensus top five based on yesterday. But I noted in my rankings, I want to check today for the official injury status, which barring a full session will almost certainly be questionable. The Ravens play in the early afternoon window, so plenty of fallback options will be available. Have one in place. Yeah, mine is Spencer Rattler,

1:16.4

so let's go to more. Oh, no. By the way, they're playing Chicago this week.

1:21.1

DJ Moore did get upgraded with a limited practice yesterday, as did DeAndre Swift.

1:25.3

Cole Komett's still not practicing, but where would

1:27.6

Colston Lovlin rank for you among tight ends if Komett doesn't play this week? So this is a pretty good week for the top prospects, the tight end one tier and general matchup-wise. So I wouldn't get too cute here. He's outside tight-end two territory with Komet for now, but he'd be a streaming option if Kometa is out. Ideally, I want to get more time to see him get up to speed, but watching

him catch what, the three or four targets for 24 yards against the but he'd be a streaming option if Kometta's out. Ideally, I want to get more time to see him get up to speed,

but watching him catch what, the three or four targets for 24 yards against the Saints last week. Loveland caught my attention. He looked very good. All right. Well, let's move on from that, Philadelphia and the New York Giants. So we may be moving on from playing A.J. Brown for the next couple of weeks. a buy week for Philly in week nine.

2:00.0

Brown missed his second straight day of practice dealing with a hamstring issue.

2:03.3

Not looking good for his availability this week at least. Yeah, he was present yesterday, but off the side working with a trainer at the start of the session, generally speaking, Eagles who don't practice, don't play. We'll see if he gets on the field today. That said, Philadelphia inquire staff for Jeff McLeod, who's covered the team for a while, reported before Thursday's practice. His understanding was that Brown is tracking towards playing Sunday. So we'll see if he's on the field for the Giants or not. It'll start if he gets on the field today. That's the first stop. Yeah, absolutely. And for the Giants, Jackson, Dark, got into the full practice yesterday. Darius Slayton was limited in his hopeful return to action. And no surgery yet from elite neighbors. You and I has tracked these kind of things. More complicated, the more swelling to deal with the injury. The longer the surgery is postponed, Bob. So every day and week that goes by, it's kind of a bummer here for neighbors and fantasy managers. Yeah, it really is. T.S. Pans, Jordan, Ronan, and the athletics Dan Duggan both reported that the surgery is kind of a bummer here for neighbors and fantasy managers yeah it really is he has pans jordan or not and the athletics dan dougan both reported that uh this surgery is expected soon

2:54.8

likely within the next week or so according to dougan so and like you said it's not unusual

2:59.8

if i recall correctly i don't believe it was an fcel spray i believe there was meniscus damage

3:04.6

along with uh in neighbor's case either way what they do is they like to let

3:08.1

the other injury heal fully so that when they do the ACL repair the player can hit the ground running

3:13.6

on his rehab and get right off the start but but yeah we waited a month now that's obviously not ideal

3:19.2

and the longer we wait the worse it'll get all right moving on here atlanta and miami this week. Michael Pennix Limited for the second straight day. Anyone expressing concern about him playing this week? All the Falcons are playing the Wobigon Dolphins this week, so I don't see a, it's a pretty relaxed atmosphere, but no, I haven't seen a lot of concern about Pennix at this point. You know, remember, he finished the game last week. I'm guessing he'll be okay, but this will be one to watch today as well. And for the Dolphins, Tua had a full practice yesterday, but Jalen Waddle was added to the injury report limited with a hamstring injury, Bob. Yikes, what do we know? I don't know much about the injury itself, but I do know this. If waddles out out of action Sunday, it would be a significant blow for Dolphins' offense already without Tyreek Hill and down with Darren Waller down too. Top wide receivers for Tungalvo would be Malikwicz, and Nick Westbrookan. Although Devon A. Chan is second only to Waddle and receiving targets, so they'd have that going for him. Also, I don't know that this is a great matchup for Waddle, even if he's in his best next week.

4:17.4

AJ Terrell's tough. receiving targets, so they'd have that going for him. Also, I don't know that this is a great

4:14.1

matchup for Waddle, even if he's at his best next, this week, A.J. Terrell's tough. There's also the fact on Wednesday, Tua revealed that his height has kept him from being able to get the ball to his star wide out. I mean, this team is a mess on many levels, and like, I'm hoping Waddle's on the field, but I'm not enthusiastic. I'm a little lower on them than our projections.

4:33.7

Hey, guys, I can't see. a mess on many levels and like I'm hoping while it's on the field but I'm not enthusiastic I'm

4:31.4

a little lower on them than our projections hey guys I can't see over the big players why would you

4:36.9

possibly admit that oh my gosh all right Jets Garrett Wilson misses another practice Bob that's the way

4:44.5

that's been tracking breeze haul Tyrod, Tyrod Taylor, limited for the second

4:48.2

straight day. Mason Taylor added to the injury report, did not practice with a quad injury.
