Welcome everybody to Mormonism Live. I'm joined by Radio Free Mormon.

Tonight, we're going to talk about the church's theology and teachings around the label of Lamanite.

And tonight we have a guest, Amber, who's going to come on.

She'll share some background, which will be pertinent to the conversation.

And we'll dive into

talking at length about various aspects of Mormonism and its theology and teachings that cause,

I don't think there's any other way to put it, but harm to those from the Native American

communities, from the tribes.

So I will bring on here. We'll just, RFM, by the way, first off, how are you doing?

I'm great. Thank you. You know, I didn't have a whole lot to do with this. So when I joined the church, though,

I'm old enough to have certainly heard about in real time, Spencer Kimball's the president this was his big deal

one of his big deals which was the Indian placement program and I heard about that and about

the the Indians who joined the church get their skin gradually becoming wider to show that the curse

was being lifted by divine means yeah and I believed it when they said that

to me. So that's all I know about it. And I think it's going to be a good chance for us to hear the

other side of that story. Yeah. And so without further ado, let me bring Ember on. Ember,
