hopefully better than last game. That one was actually kind of rough Lakers and Blazers the other night.

But speaking of which, we got to get to the injury report on today's show. I'm going to talk about

some of the keys to getting back to their winning ways in tonight's game, as well as take some questions and comments from our channel members. So lots of stuff to get into. All right, the big thing for the Lakers and a number of teams around the NBA, it's the injury report. It's been a very injury-plagued beginning to the season. So here's where we're at right now. I talked about it a lot heading into the game against the Blazers. that the Lakers effectively had five, like, actual rotation players for an NBA team that they could play in the last game. And that was their five starters. It was Austin

Reeves, Jake LaRavia, Jared Vanderbilt, Rui Huchamura, and DeAndre Aton. And that's it.

That was after that, once you went to the bench, you were putting it a guy who's probably below NBA level right now when we're talking about Dalton Connect and we'll talk more about him.

It just a bit, Bronnie James, and then your three two-way players, Chris Mignon, Christian Coloco and Nick Smith Jr.

So the Lakers ran into issues.

It was not a pretty game against the Blazers, but we did get maybe just a little bit of good news here.

No, it's not the news on Luca Donchitz that we wanted to hear yet,

or LeBron James or anything like that.

But Jackson Hayes and Marcus Smart are questionable to play.

J.J. Reddick did say that he was hopeful for them to come back for this road trip. So I sure hope

they're in action because if nothing else, Jackson Hayes and Marcus Smart coming back

increases your NBA rotation caliber players on your roster from five to seven. Okay,

now you've got seven guys. All right. Now you're a little bit closer.

Now you mix in.

Can you get a Dalton Connect going?

Can you get something out of maybe one of your two-way guys or something? And then, all right, we're kind of working with an eight-man rotation, which isn't all that unheard of for the NBA. I'm sure J.G. Reddick would love to be working with a nine or a 10-man rotation, but those are just not the breaks right now for the Lakers.
