Lakers versus Pelicans, the NBA's in-season tournament

semifinals. Boy, what a fun tournament this has been, and now the Lakers are one of just four

teams still standing. It's Lakers and Pelicans in the West and Bucks Pacers in the East.

One of those four teams will be the first ever in season tournament champion.

And the Lakers sure seem determined to make sure that it's them.

I'm going to talk a little bit about this matchup that we're going to see tonight,

what the Lakers need to do to get the W.

Pelicans. This is obviously a big game for the Lakers. I guess when I really try to drill down

into this matchup, I see two teams that are actually pretty similar. And that's true when I

dig into the advanced stats, when I look into all the different things that these teams do, they're fairly similar in terms of the Lakers are a bit better of a defensive team. The Pelicans are a bit better of an offensive team. But both teams do a great job getting into the free throw line. Both teams aren't necessarily high volume three point shooting teams, although I think that may be kind of fake in the case of the

Pelicans. I think they actually are going to be a fairly high volume three point shooting team.
