What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius.

And we find ourselves at the other side of the trade deadline with the Lakers making a trade, a small one.

Much of the big picture talk, as we've had on this week, that will be all big picture pods, D, has been

on the idea that really the order of business for the Lakers was replacing Gabe. They did that.

They traded Gabe and a 2032 second round pick, the only tradable second the Lakers have, to the

Atlanta Hawks for Luke Kinnard. And so, no other moves aside from that, again, that was sort of how

we framed this as we went into this week. The Honest does not get traded. We'll talk about that

and some of the other moves that did and did not happen around the league later. But first order

of business, what was your reaction to the trade? So a bit of mixed feelings.

I think Conard is a fine NBA player within the context of what he does as why I'm in the

NBA versus what Gabe does for why he's in the NBA.

I would say Conard's better at his job than Gabe is at his.

Gabe's probably a more well-rounded player, having more ball handling, and he's a more competitive

defensive player.
