Hello, everybody. Welcome in to the Lakers Nation.com podcast. My name's Trevor Lane, joined today by Donnie Freeman from the basketball bulletin, which Donnie and I host together.

If you guys haven't checked that out, you definitely should. Today we're going to talk a little bit about the Lakers where they're at currently and where they're going.

What should the strategy be at the trade deadline which is quickly approaching

February 5th just one month away donnie how you doing excited to talk Lakers with you yeah doing pretty

good hopefully you are as well always fun to talk to Lakers and I'm sure we're going to have some

fun things that kind of come up throughout this video yeah so I do want to start just by letting everybody know.

We are recording this actually on Saturday after Lakers Grizzlies.

The first game, you're probably seeing this on Monday,

at least if everything's going according to plan.

So just a quick disclaimer,

the Lakers have not played their second game against the Memphis Grizzlies

as of our recording of this.

It sounds ominous.

I hope nothing drastic happens in that game, obviously.

But I'm doing a little bit of traveling, so wanted to make sure that we have this show ready to go.

But just keep out, that could skew any of the stats that we reference, things like that,

just slightly. So just something to keep in mind. But let's start here, Donnie. Here we are.

We are 30 plus games into the season at this point. You and I are right now 32 games into the season.

By the time this air is 33 games into the season.

What are these Lakers at this point? And where is this team headed?

They're a fun team to watch in most nights. That's a sliding scale, of course, depending on a

number of different factors.
