And that was a rough night for your Lakers.

Unfortunately, dropping this game in a bad, bad way to the Indiana Pacers final score.

Lakers lose 109 to 90.

That's a blowout loss to Indiana. There's a few reasons why, but man,

rough timing. Rough time. They had one five in a row, but rough timing for a loss given the

playoff race right now. The Lakers were poised to make up some ground. We're keeping an eye on some

other games around the NBA. The son's playing OKC right now. You've got the Mavs playing the Kings later. You've got the Warriors with a

gimmee game tonight against the Hornets. All of these things were something the Lakers needed to pay

attention to. The Warriors, of course, get handed a game against Charlotte, but the Suns could

potentially lose to the Thunder. You've got the Kings in a tough matchup with the Mavs. Maybe some ground to be made up. Now you've got to hope the Suns lose. You've got to hope the Kings lose just so the Lakers can kind of keep pace and not be hurt too much by a bad loss to the Pacers here tonight. But you know what? When I look at this, I look at this game and I think about what really happened

here. I think there's a couple things. And I know people will say, oh, you know, excuses or whatever, the team just no-showed or something. I don't know that it was entirely had no-show performance. I did think the Lakers looked like they had some heavy legs out there. You noticed a lot of their shots were coming up short. This is the third game in four nights on the road. I'm not saying they shouldn't have figured out a way to adapt and overcome, found a way to win anyway, but it did seem like that was a factor in this one. I also say for a team that has shot great, not good, great from three. They've been one of the best three-point shooting teams since the All-Star break, been one of the best offensive teams. Since the All-Star break, the Pacers have been one of the worst defenses, period,

all season. I think a lot of this was just a really, really bad shooting night for the Lakers.

They wind up in this one shooting 16.7% from three. 16.7% from deep. That's that is horrendous. That's awful. I hope I don't have the number in front of me.

I hope that's one of their worst shooting nights of the entire season. You look again at the at the game log here.

The box score 16.7% from 3, 40.7% from the field. And looking at this game, this wasn't the Pacers were doing a bunch of great things defensively. There were a few times where the Pacers caused some turnovers. The Lakers turned the ball over 16 times. That was too much. But this was not a great Pacers defense about it. This was the Lakers just missed shots. I mean, just could not get shots to drop.

You look at three guys in particular were a big, big problem tonight,

just in terms of shooting the basketball.
