Correct. What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius. And tonight, the Lakers played their last game before the All-Star break. What a whirlwind this first part of the season has been D. And the big news from yesterday is that the Lakers signed Alex Lenn

at the five spot, a veteran drafted in 2013, most recently with the Kings, I believe.

And the one disappointing part of the trade deadline, but I totally understand, right,

like the way things worked out. But one underrated aspect of the Mark Williams

trade is that he, similar to Walker Kessler, made a low enough salary where you didn't have

to trade a current rotation player, assuming Dalton's on the outside looking income playoff time

for a player that could add, whereas any other viable backup five option on the trade market would require game going

out or Rui going out.

And you can debate specific players and things like that.

But I also understand Redick in the front office being like, these guys are part of what we're

trying to do this year.

And I think that the Lakers will be able to evaluate on a serious team, on hopefully what

is a serious

playoff run, fingers crossed about health, that I understand not making that type of move.
