So Nick Friedel, who at the moment covers a Brooklyn that's, I don't know about that. I'll continue. He will be joining us in a while. He stuck in traffic for in New York.

Dave Lakers got a pretty nice win on Saturday night beating the Golden State Warriors. No staff, no LeBron, but the new Lakers players played.

And we're in an interesting time now for the Lakers. There's still, you know, quite a few games out of position, but there's still time. But I really wanted to start with Rob Polica had a press conference on Saturday before the game.

And he had some interesting things to say. I wasn't really actually prepared for the way he framed the big trades that he made, but I wanted to know.

I actually could probably talk about this full whole podcast, but I wanted to hear what you thought and what Rob said about the trades.

Well, we got a new Polinkism coin the phrase in the moment that the Lakers did their business through pre agency rather than waiting for the summer when they can try to attract guys on the market through free agency.

And honestly, the way he described it. There was a great deal of confidence and energy around the idea that we're going to have these group of guys moving forward.

But if whatever reason they may not, don't worry about, then we can kind of turn the page because they all come off the books. The only four Lakers on the books next season are LeBron, Anthony Davis, Max Christie and Jared Vanderbilt.

And the Vanderbilt and Christie contracts are very cost efficient.

And Christie making less than two million Vanderbilt's like 4.5 or something in that range. And whether you can move them easily if you needed to create space or like those are high value for that compensation.

And so listen, you look at the lake is roster. Right. There's only one guy on the roster who's 30 or older in LeBron.

Everybody else is young and think about last year's team, the Jerry Attrix with Rondo and Baysmore and Melo and Dwight Howard and you know, right on down the list.

They've completely turned things over from there.

And you know, I think the one thing that concerns me because I do like to mix the talent and I do like the direction they're going in.

But when you have all those guys that theoretically come off the books, that means you have all those guys that are going to be free agents that want to make money.

And that can lead to uncomfortable situations. I think they better do their work in these next 10 games. Make up the gap now.

Go 7, 3, 8 and 2, something like that. Where then you feel stable footing because otherwise you're going to be in that paper energized hyper pressurized March towards the playoffs or those last 15 games.
