Perhaps as a former history teacher, it just kind of hits me.

There's a line in that song where it says, you can't understand what lies ahead if you don't understand the past.

Again, as a former history teacher, that line always resonated with me.

But I think it also holds true with the Los Angeles Lakers and with what we're seeing

them do right now. The Lakers, as frustrating as it may be, that they didn't trade for

Kyrie Irving. They're trying to act, as Brian Winhorst said earlier today, as a responsible

franchise. They're trying to do the right thing with these draft picks.

They're trying to make sure that they are getting the most they possibly can for their picks.

They're not getting fleeced in a deal over the years. We've seen time after time,
