Lakers wanted to start their road trip. They fall to the Chicago Bulls 124 to 108 in a game that had

moments when it looked like it might be close, moments when it looked like the Lakers were going to

wake up and figure things out. Instead, they would fall right back to pieces and the Bulls would reclaim the secure

control of the game.

Absolute brutal, brutal loss for the Lakers, particularly given the context.

Because what's ahead tomorrow night, second night of a back-to-back playing in Minnesota against the Timberwolves. Now, fortunately, Minnesota is also on the second night of a back-to-back, but still, that's rough. Then you get the Oklahoma City Thunder. So that's the top two teams of the Western Conference on the road. That's your next game after that. Then it's the Boston Celtics, the top team in the East on

Christmas Day. The Lakers have got to figure things out and figure things out very, very quickly.

Because right now, it's certainly rough for the purple and gold. Their offense, well, most of the time,

it looks out of ideas. A lot of it, they simply

can't shoot. They can't hit shots. And that is sapping them of a lot of their energy. You know,

this is for this Lakers team, a very lethargic performance in a game in which they can see the

schedule just as well as I can. They know what's coming.

They know what the rest of the week looks like.

They know what the beginning of next week looks like.

They know.

They understand how important it was that they take advantage of an opportunity to get a win

by beating the Bulls.
