And last night, the Lakers lost a frustrating one, 110 to 10-109 to the visiting Orlando Magic.

Wendell Carter Jr. gets a put back late. It started off well. I thought the

Lakers played well in the first quarter, especially LeBron came out looking spry, double-digit

first quarter, had five shots early on. Lakers go up. Luka was very good. Had 10 and a few assists

in the first quarter. Big night from D'Andre Aiton, most productive night statistically. In a while, I thought the team did a good job of looking to get him the ball, and he produced on the interior. From Orlando's point of view, Wendell Carter Jr. had a big first quarter, you kind of kept them in it. Lakers were up, though, good eight to 12 points controlled early on, and then Orlando just chipped away at it bit by bit.

The Lakers were up by six at halftime. Huge third quarter from Palo Boncaro, 17 points from

him gets Orlando right there. And then after back and forth start to that fourth quarter,

the Lakers can't close it out. Luca goes four for eight in the first

quarter and then goes four for 16 the rest of the way. But it was really the shot that he didn't

take that was one of the bigger stories of the night. The Lakers down by one with a few seconds left,

set up an ATO where everybody starts out in the back court. They sprint to their spots where

they're going to be, kind of disguising their play. They set a cross screen for Luca gets a jumper from about

30-ish feet, I'd say, available to him, decides that he didn't want it, passed it over to
