Hello, Lakers Nation. Welcome in the Lakers Nation.com live postgame show. I'm Trevor Lane.

What a win for your Los Angeles Lakers. What looked like should be a pretty easy cruise victory against the Pelicans at the outset.

Did not wind up playing out that way. In fact, once the Pelicans unveiled their starting five for this game

0:24.0

and revealed that they have for the first time all season,

0:28.0

their entire team healthy,

0:29.8

we knew the Lakers were going to be in for a bit tougher test

0:32.8

than what you would typically see or think when you just see Pelicans on the schedule. Final

score 110 101. The Lakers get it done with a big fourth quarter and some absolutely massive

defensive performances. We have a lot actually to break down. Going into this game, you would think

The Pelicans, not one of the better teams in the NBA, but there's a big difference between the Pelicans, especially the healthy Pelicans and the likes of the Wizards, the Kings and teams like that.

1:36.9

And man, did they make some huge defensive plays?

Let's take a peek at the box score. My goodness. LeBron James. LeBron James in this one, 21 points, 8 for 12 shooting.

1 of 5 from 3. The 3 has looked better lately. Didn't fall enough tonight. 4 for 8 from the free throw line. Seven board, seven assists, five turnovers. Turnovers a big problem for the Lakers in this game. They finished the game with 21 turnovers. But LeBron James with 21, seven and seven. Meanwhile, Luca Donchich, 27 points. 10 of 22 shooting, hit a big three late. Ten boards, seven assists, seven

turnovers for Luca. Again, the turnovers, a big problem. Austin Reeves had maybe his

worst game as a Laker, certainly one of them. Four for 15 shooting. Two of seven from three. Couldn't
