The Lakers, well, it's a tragedy for the city of Los Angeles. The Lakers losing to the Clippers. yes, this makes some number of games in a row that the Lakers have lost to the Clippers.

A lot of context here to break down, a lot of stuff to talk about in this one.

Unfortunately, the bottom line, well, the Lakers no longer have the ability to get themselves into the playoffs.

I'm not talking about the play in.

They're in the playoff.

But into the playoffs, that means six-seat or better.

They no longer have the ability to put themselves in there.

Now they are relying on other teams losing games in order to get there specifically.

We're looking at the Golden State Warriors and a big matchup come up now on Friday for them against the Kings and a big matchup on Friday for the Lakers against the Sons.

The Lakers need to win that game and need the Warriors to lose to Sacramento on Friday in order for the Lakers to have a shot.

And getting into the playoffs and getting that six seed.

Otherwise, if the Warriors went out, there's nothing the Lakers can do.

They are stuck at best in the seventh seed. So unfortunate in that regard, but we'll see what happens. Again, this Lakers team still has some fight in them, I'm sure.
