The Lakers finish off preseason with a dud.

Not the way you wanted to see them head into the regular season.

Just, oh boy, no show performance tonight from the Lakers bench. 123 to 100.

And the Lakers bench got lit up by the Sons bench in this one.

A lot to break down, including whether or not Lakers fans should be concerned.

Is this just a preseason game and you brush it off?

Do we look at the context of the game with the Lakers missing some of their point guards and that being an issue particularly in the second half

how much does it matter that the sons didn't bother playing devon booker or bradley be a lot

What did the Lakers just do? Oh my God. You know it's so funny. I was kind of come on here. My first thing was going to be like, it sounds like I'm going to need to live up to the nickname before the season even starts. I think we did the show together in the last preseason game, right, Trevor? Yeah. And I think the opening line was, do we just forget the second half and talk about the first

half and I feel like we're going to have to do that again well I think there's the laker

starters I thought looked just fine now of course we have to discount because the sons the sons lied

frank Vogel said I'm going to play my guys for three quarters or about three quarters.

And then suddenly right before the game, he said, oh, no, wait, just kidding.

Devin Booker and Bradley Beale decided we're not going to play them.

So we didn't even get to see like the Lakers starters against the Sunstars, which we were hoping to see.

But I thought the Lakers starters looked okay. I thought for the first quarter in particular, they, they looked really good. They wound up losing the first quarter, but I felt like they were winning the flow of the game. It looked like they were the better team out there. And then in the second quarter, they wind up going on a bit of a run. The Suns came back and hit a few threes and made it close, I believe it was a four-point game at halftime.
